Get Your Complimentary Under the Hood Brightspace Course Checkup
Wondering if your Brightspace Course needs a tune-up?
Kim Pfeifer, CTLI Learning Technologies Support Specialist is offering 30-minute private sessions in which she will review ONE of your Brightspace courses to ensure you and your students are set up for success. This could be a current course in progress or a course you are preparing for Winter 2023. This is a quick way to learn what makes for a well-designed course!
During her session with you, you’ll get an Under the Hood Checkup Report based on recommended practices for optimal course design and navigation.
The Under the Hood Checkup Report covers areas such as:
• Manage Files and File Structure
• Grades Set Up
• Content Design, Navigation and Accessibility
• Course Home page Widget Use
• Videos and Links Use
• Quizzes, Assignments and Discussions Settings
Steps to take for ONE Brightspace course Under the Hood Checkup:
1. Send an email to Kim Pfeifer Kimberly.Pfeifer@nic.bc.ca OR book via her Availability Online Calendar with your availability for a 30-minute Teams meeting
2. Include URL (e.g., https://mycourses.nic.bc.ca/home/XXXX) to the Brightspace course including name, course code etc.
3. Kim will conduct her Under the Hood Check Up and email you the Report detailing items in your Brightspace course that are set up well vs. those that could be tweaked.
4. In the 30-minute session, she will use the report as a guide to hone in on areas for improvement, answer your questions, and provide some tips for next steps.
