Vision, Goals, Mission and Values – Components of a Department Identity
A department (meaning a group of instructors connected via disciplines, credentials, academic grouping) should have an identity to function as a cohesive unit and to support the work of quality student learning. Before you dive into building program learning outcomes or creating new credentials or doing a redesign or update of your courses and offerings, a department should update or create their identity.
