Re: Digital In-Class Student Orientation to Learning Technologies: 3 Tour Options

To help students be successful digital learners, the following three learning technology orientation tours (done via BlueJeans during your class time) are available to book now for your digital format Fall classes. Student Technical Services is offering three student orientation (in your digital class) tours to NIC’s core student learning technology platforms.

Email Geoff or Tyler!

I recommend you book a tour to help your students adjust to this new – digital – learning experience! This year we need to line up as many student support opportunities as possible to help our students.

Geoff or Tyler (Learning Commons) will join your digital class via BlueJeans and do a 15-minute, 30-minute or 60-minute tour – your choice. The first couple of weeks in September are optimal times to do this. Your students will get to know the technologies, have greater comfort in reaching out to them for support, and will become aware of the essential information for navigating the digital learning experience.

Take a peek at the three options below and don’t worry if your students get a tour in another class – multiple orientations will be good for their learning in non-cohort situations. If you can afford the time, I recommend “The Full Tour” to ensure your students have the best opportunity to ask questions and get acquainted with all the new technologies.

What to do….

  1. Act now to secure your online tour time.
  2. Select your Tour Choice (more details see below):
    • The Getting Started Tour (15 minutes) OR
    • The Essentials Tour (30 minutes) OR
    • The Full Tour (60 minutes)

Email Geoff or Tyler directly at their emails below (as per your campus) the date and time of your class(es) and they’ll be in touch with scheduling details and confirmation.

We hope this tour option might be one way we can help students feel more comfortable with the new technologies.

Any questions, please direct to Geoff or Tyler.
