Teaching with AI

The decision to permit student use of AI tools in coursework is at the discretion of the instructor, provided the use aligns with NIC institutional guidelines for AI use in teaching and learning, NIC policies and relevant legislation.

Transparent Course Outline Statement on AI Use

Instructors should explicitly communicate the rules regarding permissible use of AI in their courses. This should be included in the course outline, as well as through verbal reminders and discussions. Providing pedagogical reasons for the chosen AI use guidelines and how these tools support learning is beneficial.
